Colleen Kelba (AKA Colleen Songs) is a multi-passionate Canadian author, professional songwriter, and Certified Level 1 Chakradance™ Facilitator based in Calgary, Alberta. As a commissioned poet, public speaker, and the founder of Outright Entertainment Inc. (proudly supported by Alberta Women Entrepreneurs), Colleen bridges the power of creative expression and somatic healing to help individuals unlock their unique gifts and reclaim their personal stories.
 

Healing Through Sound, Word, and Somatic Movement

From penning her first song at age 14 to navigating life through motherhood, overcoming MS, and healing from profound trauma, Colleen has always used creative writing as a vehicle for transformation.

In 2024, after exiting a corporate career, a sudden illness led her back to her roots in somatic movement. Through Chakradance™—a transformative movement therapy recognized by the International Institute of Complementary Therapists (IICT)—she experienced a profound personal rebirth. By integrating spontaneous dance, chakra-resonant music, Jungian psychology, and ancient mandala art, Colleen healed deep-seated trauma and stepped fully into her purpose.
 

Today, as a July 2025 graduate and Professional Member of the Dance Movement Therapy Association in Canada, she guides others to align their mind-body-spirit energy systems, break free from emotional blocks, and step into joy.
 

From the Stages of Nashville to Commissioned Storytelling

Colleen’s journey as a wordsmith, speaker, and recording artist has spanned from the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville to empowering platforms like the eWomen Network, Gems for Gems, and WomenTalk.
 

• Published Author & Speaker: In her gripping memoir, INHALE, Colleen shares her escape from a narcissistic spouse, transforming raw trauma into a narrative of forgiveness and beauty. She now weaves this profound prose and live music into high-impact public speaking engagements.
   

• Professional Songwriter: Colleen produced her record This Life with CCMA/BCCMA award-winner Tom McKillip and collaborated in Nashville with Oscar and Dove award-winning producer Billy Smiley. Celebrating family, she also released her children’s track, Rock My Baby, with Calgary producer John Thiel, and is currently penning her second book.
